The Slow Alchemist's taste guide

A field guide, not a rulebook — six standing orders for a palate like this.

Eat: Anything that took longer to make than to eat: the 48-hour broth, the sourdough with a birthday, the aged thing over the fresh thing.
Listen: Full albums, in order, no shuffle. Long-form pieces that reward the third listen — patience is the genre.
Wear: Natural fibers that improve with wear. Buy once, mend forever; the patina is the point.
Go: One region, deeply — the town with three generations of the same cellar beats six countries in ten days.
Read: Process books: fermentation, joinery, ink-making. Anything with the word 'craft' used unironically and earned.
Skip: Anything instant, hacked, or 'in under 20 minutes.' Shortcuts are for people the good thing hasn't happened to yet.
